Transportation
We run a transport company as well as a care company, which means a wheelchair-accessible ride is a phone call rather than a two-week booking. Dialysis, the hospital, the eye clinic, church on a Sunday — the same office arranges both.
Rides are booked on our transport site — no referral, no case worker, no broker queue.

What a caregiver actually does
Not a category — the specific things that happen while somebody is in the house.
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicles, not a car with a folded chair in the boot
- Dialysis, chemotherapy and standing appointments as a recurring booking
- Door-to-door — met at the door, walked back in, not dropped at the kerb
- A caregiver who stays for the appointment when that is what is needed
- Church, the barber, family visits and the things that are not medical
- Medicaid-covered rides where the trip is eligible
Is it time?
What is usually happening when families call about this
If two or three of these sound like your house, it is worth a phone call. It costs nothing to ask.
Appointments are being missed because of the journey rather than the appointment
Family members are taking days off work to drive
A wheelchair or walker makes an ordinary taxi impossible
Dialysis three times a week and no reliable way of getting there
How transportation gets paid for
Three different situations, three different answers. One of these is yours.

We are a non-medical home care company
That means our caregivers help with daily life — washing, dressing, meals, mobility, housekeeping, company and getting to appointments. It is skilled, trained, background-checked help, and for most families it is exactly what is needed.
If any of that is what you need, say so and we will tell you straight — often the answer is a home health agency or hospice for the clinical side, with us doing the daily hours around it. We work alongside both, and we would rather point you to the right place than take a booking we cannot do properly.
What we do not do
- No nursing care, injections or IVs
- We remind and prompt about medication; we never administer it
- No wound care, catheters or clinical procedures
- No physical, occupational or speech therapy
- No diagnosing, and nothing that needs a nurse or a doctor
Questions families ask
- Is this the same company as A-Life Medical Transport?
- Yes — same family of companies, same office, same phone number. It is why we can turn a ride around quickly when most agencies have to book one out.
- Does Medicaid cover the ride?
- For eligible medical trips it often does. Tell us where the journey is going and we will tell you whether it is covered before you commit to anything.
