Home safety & fall prevention
Most of what makes a house dangerous is cheap to fix and invisible to the people who have lived there for forty years. We walk through it with you and say plainly what we see — and the small things, we sort out.

What a caregiver actually does
Not a category — the specific things that happen while somebody is in the house.
- A room-by-room walk-through with you, written down
- Rugs, trailing flexes and the furniture in the wrong place
- Lighting on the landing, the stairs and the route to the bathroom
- Grab rails by the toilet, in the shower and at the front step
- Bathroom mats, shower chairs and raised seats
- What is worth referring on for a proper occupational therapy assessment
Is it time?
What is usually happening when families call about this
If two or three of these sound like your house, it is worth a phone call. It costs nothing to ask.
One fall has already happened
They are holding the walls between rooms
Getting up at night in the dark to the bathroom
Stairs that have become a slow, careful, two-handed operation
How home safety & fall prevention gets paid for
Three different situations, three different answers. One of these is yours.

We are a non-medical home care company
That means our caregivers help with daily life — washing, dressing, meals, mobility, housekeeping, company and getting to appointments. It is skilled, trained, background-checked help, and for most families it is exactly what is needed.
If any of that is what you need, say so and we will tell you straight — often the answer is a home health agency or hospice for the clinical side, with us doing the daily hours around it. We work alongside both, and we would rather point you to the right place than take a booking we cannot do properly.
What we do not do
- No nursing care, injections or IVs
- We remind and prompt about medication; we never administer it
- No wound care, catheters or clinical procedures
- No physical, occupational or speech therapy
- No diagnosing, and nothing that needs a nurse or a doctor
Questions families ask
- Do you charge for the safety check?
- No. It is part of the first visit, and you get the list whether or not you go ahead with us.
- She will not let us change anything in the house.
- Then we start with the two changes that matter most rather than all fifteen. A rail by the toilet and a light on the landing prevent more falls than a rearranged sitting room, and they are easier to agree to.
